The following poem is a tribute to Shakes Kungwane by (@spokmathambo) on twitter;

Farewell Shakes!

When the blades of football grass, felt the warmth of thee fallen gentle beast. All I can hear was the broken pieces and the smell of pain even from the strongest hearts, lips cracked, hair grew thorns, eyes became wet and rocks were shocked, but its the hands God and not man that he lived by.

Upon the cloudless rain of his sweat Mbo! Mbo! was the ball's prayer at the mercy of his feet and In silent the tone of crying angels screaming his name loud besides the sweet melodies of thee mighty vuvuzelas. A bright smile - escorted by blinks, and thee famous Alexander move with a diamond sparkle earrings - walking bravely with idiski wrapped underneath his armpit - with tearful eyes fixed and looking down on earth he silently dropped ball- and amazingly crossed it between the heaven's gates, whispering in our souls and begging us to whistles and never to weep - not a even a single teardrop

as he slowly and walks on sand less earth and disappears before our eyes-His shoulders invisibly carried a symbol of Eleven souls, when he moved the grounds were humbled by the shadow and the spirit of the an ivory-his Soul will stretch to heaven where he will hear God's final whistle,behind it was a sweet waterfall made of our tears, prayers and thoughts, on the palm of the creator his peaceful face lay eternally - in an iron blanket and with a King's crown as his pillow, Goodbye, Isaac "Shakes" Professor" Sarafina Sarafina" Kungwane May your blessed soul Rest in Peace - iKhosi eLihle!

By the one you called Bones @SpokMathambo
